Thoughts on attending conferences

I finally took the time to write down my thoughts on conferences. I have been adding to a series of iPhone notes for the last 10 years as I’ve planned for, gone to, and come back from conferences. This is my living-document attempt to put the ideas together.

The target audience is an early-career graduate student or any of my students—or students in the risk analysis, ISE, or OR areas. I’d welcome any thoughts or additions.
